Trust & Safety
Safety Tips
WheelBazar is designed for local, real-world exchanges. The safest deals happen when both sides stay clear, patient, and willing to walk away if something feels off.
For buyers
- •Review the listing carefully. Ask questions about condition, age, defects, and missing parts before you travel.
- •Prefer nearby, public meetup locations such as building lobbies, cafes, or mall parking areas during daylight hours.
- •Inspect the item fully before paying. Test electronics, open drawers, check zippers, and verify measurements.
- •Avoid paying deposits to hold items unless you trust the seller and understand the risk.
For sellers
- •Use clear photos and accurate descriptions. Mention scratches, repairs, and missing accessories up front.
- •Remove personal data from devices before handing them over. Factory-reset phones, tablets, and smart devices.
- •Do not share more address detail than necessary before you are comfortable with the buyer.
- •Bring a friend or let someone know where you are meeting if the handoff feels unfamiliar or high-value.
Warning signs
- !The other person pressures you to move fast or pay before inspection.
- !They want to continue the conversation through suspicious links or unfamiliar payment pages.
- !They claim they will send a courier before the payment is confirmed.
- !The offer is unusually high, unusually low, or comes with a story that feels designed to create urgency.
If something feels wrong
Stop the conversation. Do not send payment, do not continue the meetup, and do not share additional personal details.
